Ted O'Neal Peeples

Ted O’Neal Peeples, Sr.,58, of Swansea, died on Saturday, April 25, 2026. He was born on September 6, 1967, in Columbia, SC a son of Charles Ashley Peeples and Minnie Doris Bradley Peeples. Ted enjoyed Clemson athletics and spending his spare time doing yard work. He began his career in the grocery retail business and later worked in manufacturing for Michelin, Volvo, and Mark Anthony Brewing.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Irmo, SC is his wife, Kelly Lynn Gordon Peeples; children, Ted O’Neal Peeples, Jr. of Clover, SC, Phillip Gardner of Camden, SC, Jennifer Peeples of Pelion, SC, Chris Peeples of Gaston, SC, Eric Gardner of Florence, SC, and William Gardner of Oklahoma City, OK. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild; a brother, Keith Shakib (Bonnie) of Belton, MO, and a sister, Lois Deluney (Don) of Pelion, SC. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother and two grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at 4 o’clock, Sunday, May 3rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC.
The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 3 o'clock at the funeral home.
