Thelma Branham Meadows, 89, of Wagener, SC, died Sunday, July 14, 2013. Born October 11, 1923 in Blaney, SC, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Tillman Branham and Marie Watson Branham.

Mrs. Meadows was an employee of the Department of Mental Health, retiring after 30 years of service. An active member of Bethcart Baptist Church, and a former member of Eastwood Baptist Church, Mrs. Meadows enjoyed being a member of her Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Meadows and partner, Carl Turner; daughter, Pauline and husband, Louie Hinson; grandchildren, Nicholas Nesbit and partner, Ruark Thomas, Jeffrey Nesbit, Erin and husband Zeke Miller; great-grandchildren, Lauren Lance, Scott Nesbit; brother, Curtis and wife, Mattie Branham; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul L. Meadows; and step- mother, Dora Branham.

The funeral service for Mrs. Meadows will be held 3 o'clock, Tuesday, July 16th, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with The Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Burial will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
