Theodore Ernest Peeples Jr.

Theodore Ernest Peeples, Jr., 38, of Blythewood, died on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Born in Columbia, SC, on January 14, 1988, he was a son of the late Theodore Ernest Peeples, Sr. and Tina Maria King Peeples.

Theo was employed by US Foods as a forklift operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting and building guns as well as target shooting. He particularly loved his animals, Poncho and the late CB. Theo acted tough, but was kind hearted and would do anything for the people he cared about. Theo was always joking around and had a smile to give to anyone and he will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his sisters, Maria L. Toole (Nathan) and Candice Lucas (Mike); nieces and nephews, Brendon Toole, Makenzie Toole, Avrie Toole, Michael Lucas, Savannah Lucas, and Colton Lucas; uncles, Ernest D. King, Bobby King, Billy King, Sydney King, Bruce Peeples and Murphy Peeples; aunts, Christine Cailiouet, Denise Sampsel and Joan Altman (Stewart).

The service for Theo will be held at 6 o’clock, Monday, June 8th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with Rev. Dr. Ben Newman officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 5 o’clock.
