Thomas Herbert "Tripp" Godfrey III, 53, of West Columbia, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He was born in Charlotte, NC on November 10, 1959. Tripp was very involved with His House Ministries for the past 15 years, enjoyed reading, fishing, and was a history buff. He loved sports and was a big Clemson fan.

Survivors include his parents, Thomas H. Godfrey, Jr. and Anne Marie Fitzgerald Godfrey; mother, Glenda Garrett; brothers, Eric (Linda) Godfrey of Atlanta, John (Becky) Godfrey of Charlotte, Joe (Julie) Godfrey of Greensboro, NC, Mack (Tina) Godfrey of Stokesdale, NC, and Sean Grant of Seneca, SC; as well as 9 nieces and nephews; and 2 great nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Godfrey will be held 1 o'clock, Sunday, September 29th, at the Meeting Street Chapel, 775 Meeting St, West Columbia, with The Rev. Roger Weaver officiating. A graveside service will follow at 4:30 o'clock, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, 6230 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC. The family will greet friends following the burial service.
