Thomas Joseph Madigan, 81, of Springfield, VA, died Thursday, December 24, 2015. Born in Dahlgren, VA to the late James Joseph and Dorothy Rebecca Higden Madigan, he was married to Pamela Drotor Madigan.
Having served in the US Army and a graduate of the University of Virginia, Thomas was an architect and President of the Madigan Group for 28 years. He was a former Governor of the Optimist Club of VA, a member of Sigma Nu, St. Raymond of Penafort Roman Catholic Church, a licensed architect in several states and served on several state boards.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah Good (Dean), Rebecca Fanning, Rene Memon (Gudu), Stella Smith (David); brother Frank Madigan (Barbara); sister-in-law, Geraldine Madigan; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Madigan.
A memorial celebration will be held beginning at 12 o'clock on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Fort Belvoir Officers' Club, 5500 Schulz Circle, Bldg #20, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
