Timothy Lee Gorman, 59, of Hopkins died July 7, 2018. Born on November 25, 1958, he was a son of the late Joseph T. Gorman and Alice House Perry Gorman.
Mr. Gorman was always helpful and eager to lend a hand. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the VFW, and was very patriotic toward the country he served. Everyone who came in contact with him knew he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Survivors include son, Mike Gorman; brothers, John Gorman and Joseph T. Gorman, Jr.; sisters, Alice F. Travis (Paul), Elizabeth Gorman, Pearl Gorman, and Joann Templeton (Donald); close friends that were just like his family, Thomas and April Seward, Libby Sturkie, and Daren Brown, and Haywood Owens.
In addition to his parents Mr. Gorman was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph W. Gorman and Thomas E. Gorman.
A graveside service with military honors for Mr. Gorman will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, July 12th, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia. The family will greet friends briefly following the graveside. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
