Timothy (Tim) Daniel Johnson, 68, of Gaston, died at home on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, on November 28, 1956, he was a son of the late Cecil Lee and Sara Elizabeth Daniels Johnson. Mr. Johnson enjoyed athletics growing up, often playing basketball and football. He loved his family and friends and was a member of Pineview Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hagood Johnson; sister, Joan Register (Ray); brother, Doug Johnson (Kathy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Cecil Lee Johnson, Jr., Paul Johnson, Jan Hill and Lonnie Johnson.

The funeral service for Mr. Johnson will be held at 3 o'clock, Sunday, February, 23rd, at Pineview Baptist Church, with the Rev. D.J. Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 2 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.
