OSCS Timothy B. Watkins, US Navy (Ret), 56, of Columbia, died Thursday, March 22, 2018. Born June 5, 1961 in Charleston, WV, he was a son of David L. Watkins, Sr. and Beverly Blake Watkins, and was married to Nancy Kelly Watkins. He retired from the US Navy and was an avid Gamecock football fan.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Joshua B. Watkins, Ivy N. Watkins; granddaughter, Adaline I. Dunn ; son-in-law, John Dunn; siblings, David Watkins, Jr. (Kelly Watkins), Anne Wright (Ricky); and numerous nieces and nephews.

His service will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, March 25th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. In accordance with his wishes, burial at sea will be rendered by the US Navy.
