Tracy Jayne Gillespie

Tracy Jayne Gillespie, 65, of Columbia, died on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Born on October 11, 1960, in Butler County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of William Russell McCall and Dorcus Mae Crispen McCall.

Tracy was never going to let her health struggles define her as a person. When she wasn’t keeping up with her sons, grandchildren, or great grandson, she was a lover of her rescue pets. Although she was a private person and seldomly opened up to others, she was a great person, neighbor, and friend. Tracy had had more people that loved and respected her than she ever knew.

Survivors include her sons, Elden Ray Gillespie, Jr. (Ranee) of Lugoff, SC and Cody Alan Gillespie of Riverview, FL; grandchildren, Mackenzie Richardson (Jonathan) Elgin, SC, Matthew Gillespie of Lugoff, SC, Hayden Gillespie of Brandon, FL, and Ashley Gillespie of Lugoff, SC; a great-grandson, Jay; as well as her brother, Bill McCall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dale McCall.

The visitation for family and friends to honor Tracy’s life will be held from 4 until 6 o’clock Saturday, September 12th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC.
