Trudel "Trudy" Manger Joslin, 91, of Columbia, died Monday, March 4, 2024. Born on March 13, 1932, in Cuxhaven, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Cezlawa (Cili) Kobza Manger. She grew up in Germany during WWII and married her late husband, Louis Bennett Joslin, while he was stationed there.

Trudy had many talents, being a master gardener, an expert seamstress, was praised for her culinary skills, entertaining, hosting teas, dinner parties, and gatherings in her home. She took great pride in her home and community. Trudy did volunteer work with the Red Cross, the Sparkleberry Fair, Moncrief Army Hospital, the voting polls, and with the homeless veterans. She was always there for her neighbors and friends in time of need.

Trudy was a long standing, member at Memorial Chapel, at Fort Jackson.

Trudy loved traveling with her husband and children, making wonderful memories. She loved her family with all her heart.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Joslin Gantt (Larry R. "Harvey") of Columbia, Larry Joslin (Bonnie L.) of Lugoff, and Tonja Joslin Park (Robert Y.) of Columbia; grandchildren, Heather, Sandra, Lucas, Jennifer, and Stuart; great grandchildren, Addler Wyatt, Angela, Emily, Diana, Austin, Paula Jane, and Sullivan Grace; 4 great-great grandchildren, and her brother, Jurgen Manger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Louis Bennett Joslin, and her brother Helmut Manger.

Her family would like to extend special thanks to her loving neighbors, Joan, Beverly, her third daughter Tina, and dear friends Ursula and Gaby.

The memorial service for Trudy will be held at 2 o'clock, Sunday, March 24th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Extension, Columbia. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Her family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Trudy's name, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
