TSgt Richard Franklin Sullivan III, US Air Force (Ret.), 61, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. Born on November 15, 1960, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, he was the son of Annette Dennis Krasky and the late Richard Franklin Sullivan, Jr.

Richard proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force. He loved his country and his family. In his free time, Richard enjoyed fishing and sports. He will be remembered for his kind heart and quick-witted sense of humor.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Faith Dodgens, of Greenville, and Megan Sullivan, of Charlotte; son, Dennis Sullivan, of Columbia; granddaughter, MacKinzie Thomas; and sister, Sandra Sullivan Welborn (John). He is preceded in death by father, Richard Franklin Sullivan, Jr.

The graveside service for TSgt Sullivan will be held at 11 o'clock on Tuesday, April 12th, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
