V. Inez Aldrich Coker, 83, of Elgin, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Born in Kershaw County, SC, on September 24, 1942, she was a daughter of the late George Rembert Aldrich and the late Ruby Belle Branham Aldrich.
Mrs. Coker was a devoted and cherished member of Anchor Baptist Church. There, she faithfully served her Lord and Savior, dedicating countless hours from sunrise to sunset to support the church and its ministry in any way she could. Beyond her service to the church, Inez found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was an avid shopper who delighted in giving thoughtful gifts that brought happiness to those she loved. A talented puzzle solver, she had a remarkable ability to piece together beautiful creations from even the smallest beginnings. Inez was also a passionate supporter of the South Carolina Gamecocks, rarely missing an opportunity to follow their games or listen to sports talk shows about her beloved team. Above all, Inez will be remembered for her steadfast faith and her deep devotion to the kingdom of Heaven. She leaves behind a lasting legacy as a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a joyful meme. Her kindness, faith, and love will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda S. Coker, Theresa "Tee" Coker; son, Michael E. Coker and Gina H. Coker; grandsons, Benjamin "Ben" M. Coker and Austin H.
