Vic Geiger, 66, of Columbia, died peacefully at home Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Born in Columbia on January 9, 1950, he was a son of the late Clarence Edgerton Geiger and Minnie Louise Cribb Geiger. He was a former Richland County Sherriff's Deputy, State Constable, and retired from First Citizens Bank.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Cobb Geiger; children, Michelle "Miki" Thompson (William), David Cobb; grandchildren, Jordan, Ashlyn, Brayden, Emily, and Sarah; sister, Celia Geiger Easler (Frank); brother, Timothy "Tim" Geiger; as well as many beloved, nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Quinn Geiger; sisters, Maxine LaMoy, Annette Hutto; brother, Lloyd Geiger.
A funeral service will be held 4:30 o'clock, Sunday, May 29th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock, Saturday at the funeral home.
