Victoria Huang, 43, of Columbia, died January 20, 2017. Born in Taiwan, she was a daughter of Peter Huang and Saundrew Huang. She was a beloved mother, cherished wife, and adored youngest daughter. She came to the United States at the age of eleven and later attended the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Math, where she first met her future husband. She received multiple degrees from Boston University and subsequently her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California at Davis. She lived with breast cancer for three years, extending her precious time with her beautiful children, who were the joy of her life.
In addition to her parents, Victoria is survived by her husband, Dmitri Schoeman; daughter, Rachel; twin sons, Eli and Joshua; sisters, Charlotte Huang Sensinger of Boston, and Carol Huang of Philadelphia. Also surviving is her grandmother, and four nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Dr. Huang will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, January 23rd at Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery, with Rabbi Jonathan Case officiating. Memorials may be made to Cutler Jewish Day School, 5827 N. Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC 29206. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
