Mr. Vincent "Vince" Barry Lambert, Sr, 48, of Lexington, died Saturday, August 23, 2014. Born March 20, 1966, in London, OH, he was a son of Nancy Ann Campbell Lambert and the late George William Lambert, Sr.

A talented athlete, who had played football for Spring Valley, Vince enjoyed working on cars, and did so until he became disabled in 2005.

Survivors include his wife, Erin Lambert; children, Vincent Lambert, Jr. (Jody), Casey Lambert (Heidi); grandchildren, Hayden, Conner, Ryan, Emmalena; his mother; brothers, George Lambert (Naomi), Eddie Lambert; sisters, Melissa Lambert, Tammy Twitty (Roger); several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews; and best friend, Michael Cox. In addition to his father, Vince was preceded in death by his son, Zachary Lambert.

A funeral service for Mr. Lambert, Sr. will be held 12 o'clock, Wednesday, August 27th, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia, SC. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbia. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock, at the funeral home.
