CW4 Vincent Joseph Goulette (U.S. Army Ret.), 66, of Elgin, SC, passed away on February 27, 2025. Born on June 17, 1958, in Oneida, New York, he was a son of the late Mary LaChanse Goulette and late Joseph Raymond Goulette.

When Vincent was 17 years old he enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent 25 years as an Army Bandsman and a Bandmaster. During his time in the military he served in various assignments in both the United States and in Europe where he met his wife Cindy. After retiring from the military he spent another five years at the South Carolina Department of Revenue as an auditor. During his retirement he enjoyed cooking, golfing, watching movies, walking his dog, and visiting his three grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Goulette; sons Brian J. Goulette (Brandie) and Michael V. Goulette; his brother Michael L. Goulette; and his three grandchildren Arthur, Isaac, and Louis.

The funeral service will be held at 9 o'clock on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC 29223. Burial will follow the service at 10 o'clock at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kershaw County Humane Society, 128 Black River Rd, Camden, SC 29020, in honor of Mr. Vincent Joseph Goulette.
