Mrs. Virginia "Gini" Lee Caywood, 64, of Blythewood, died on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Born May 3, 1960, in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of Pati "Pat" Edmonds Minor and the late William "Bill" T. Minor, Sr. She was a member at Fairlawn United Methodist Church, and will be remembered as a caring friend, loving daughter, and a wonderful wife.
Gini loved her friends and family. She was also very compassionate towards her puppies and taking time to travel to the beach and mountains where she loved to be. During her youth, she attended Spring Valley High School before moving to Jacksonville, FL where she graduated from Sandalwood High School in 1978. She made an impression on everyone she met with her beautiful smile, sweet warmth, and big heart. Gini fought a very hard and courageous battle with stage 4 uveal melanoma for 18 months. Her strength and will to fight was an inspiration to us all.
