Virginia S. French, 85, of Columbia, died Sunday, January 16, 2022. Mrs. French was born December 9, 1935, in Sugar Grove, Virginia. She is the widow of the late Richard French. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Olsen; brother, Jim Slagle; sister, Betty Slagle and her grandson, Cody Olsen.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. French was employed for Pepsi Bottling Company in Columbia.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Jesseca Olsen, and her son-in-law, Roger Olsen.

The graveside service for Mrs. French will be held at 1 o'clock, Thursday, January 20th at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
