Wanell Sellers, 93, of Columbia, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born on March 16, 1925, in Hazelhurst, GA, she was the daughter of the late Austin D. and Isabell Walker Sellers. Mrs. Sellers loved fishing, gardening, cooking and sharing the fruits of her hard work. She was a member of the Eau Claire Baptist Church where she actively participated in church events/activities. Mrs. Sellers was a giver from the heart and would do anything to try to help someone if she could.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Thrailkill (Ronnie); grandchildren, Charles M. "Chuck" Boynton, Jr. (Marie), Joey Abston, John Gregory Sellers Boynton (Chassity), Julie Ann Abston Coats (Monty) and Jennifer Thrailkill; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Abston, Charlie Coats, Catie Coats, Cody Boynton, Kelsey Boynton, Emma Boynton, Willow Boynton, Bryson Long, Theresa Boynton, Liam Boynton and Kyley Boynton; and great great granddaughter, Allison Clark. In addition to her parents and husband, John M. Sellers, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nell Sellers Abston; and brothers, A.D and Bernice Sellers.

The funeral service for Mrs. Sellers will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, April 14th at Eau Claire Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Bouknight and Rev. James A. Goudelock officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 o'clock in the church sanctuary. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is assisting the family.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lexington Extended Care, Lexington Trace Unit. Many not only cared but loved Mother during her tenure on the unit. Sincere thanks to the staff of Tri-County Hospice who stood by our side from beginning to end.
