Wesley Lloyd "Wezzie" Gross, 63, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 28, 2016. Born in Pensacola, FL on September 22, 1952, he was a son of the late Albert M. Gross, Sr. and Miriam McGowan "Mimi" Gross. "Wezzie" was known for his big heart and adored his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Hooks Gross; daughters, Lisa Dalton (David), Missy Hendrix; grandchildren, Trey Sox (Stephanie) Meghan Sox and Matthew Sox; great-grandchildren, Haylie and Emily Sox; sisters, Paula Gross and Karla Gross Schroeder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert Gross, Jr., George Gross and Charles Gross.

A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Monday, February 1st at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with The Rev. James A. Goudelock officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 o'clock, Sunday at the funeral home.
