Wilford Morris Shealy, Jr, 75, of Columbia, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, on November 2, 1948, he was a son of the late Wilford Morris Shealy, Sr. and Fannie Shumpert Shealy.

Mr. Shealy was the loving husband of 46 years to Mrs. Sharon Adams Shealy. They were devout, longtime members of Victory Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church, where he led choir and congregation singing. He was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan and found the most joy in spending time with his family. Mr. Shealy retired after 30 plus years as a machinist for The R L Bryan Company.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, David Eric Shealy, Kimberly Ann Shealy, and Christina Renee Price; grandchildren, Malik Nelson, Mykel Nelson, and Annaston Shealy; siblings, Ricky Shealy and Kay Payne; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

The Celebration of Life for Mr. Shealy will be held at 2 o'clock on Thursday, September 19th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock.
