William Alvin "AJ" Hinnant Jr., 33, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Born on February 23, 1988, he was the son of William Alvin "Tree" Hinnant Sr. and the late Penny Garner McNair.

AJ had a love for hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and spending time at the river with friends and family. His greatest passion in life was being the loving father of his two little girls, Melinda Rose and Lilly Cheyenne Hinnant. He lived his life to the fullest and continuously kept a smile on the faces of those around him. AJ was an employee for Bennett's Construction.

In addition to his father and daughters, he is survived by brothers, William "Bucky" Ford and Liam Gabriel Hinnant; aunts, Barbara Tyler, Elaine Bowman (Bill), and the late Janet Sloan; grandmothers, Gail Maness Garner and Dorothy Fulmer Kerscher.

The family will receive friends at visitation from 5 until 7 o'clock in the evening on Saturday, December 4th, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive Columbia, SC 29203.
