Obituary
William "Bill" Charles Dower, 74, of Blythewood, died Sunday, May 15, 2022. Born August 20, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Holland and Dorothy Reinfuss Dower.
Bill earned his bachelor's degree in 1969 from Milliken University and then obtained his master's degree from Michigan State University in 1970. Prior to his retirement, he had a successful career in management with Follet Corporation.
Bill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood.
Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn M. Dower; daughters, Jennifer Barnes and her husband, John Barnes, of Columbia, Joanna Masterson and her husband, Matthew Matterson, of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Rowan Barnes, Holland Barnes, Shep Barnes, Nathaniel Masterson, and Lyla Masterson, as well as his brother, Bob Dower of Tucson, AZ.
The funeral service for Mr. Dower will be held privately. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church, PO Box 864
