The Rev. William Howard Gaddis, Jr., 50, of Elgin, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Born in Bloomington, IL on April 24, 1964, he was of son of Karen LaFever Bradford and the late William Howard Gaddis, Sr. Mr. Gaddis was a member of Ebenezer Holiness Baptist Church. He was a Holiness minister, a hard worker, and was known as a loving husband, father, and family man to more children than just his own.
Survivors include his wife, Angela Voss Gaddis; his children, William Anthony Gaddis, Jeremy Wayne Gaddis, Katie Gaddis, and Delray Riley all of Elgin, Dwayne Edwards of Indiana, and Allen Edwards of Missouri; brothers, Travis Gaddis, Garen Roberts, Daryl Bradford, Wes Gaddis, and Brian Gaddis; sisters, Pam Gaddis, Penny Garrett, and Irene Sloat all of Illinois; grandchildren, Turner Hodge, Charlise Koerner, Jamal and Maya Riley. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Casey, and Franklin Turner.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
