William "Bill" Kenneth Ginnery, Jr., 77, of Blythewood, died on Thursday, April 3, 2025. Born in Lancaster, Ohio, on November 28, 1947, he was a son of the late William K. Ginnery, Sr., and Catherine "Katy" Elizabeth McCrady Ginnery.
Bill was a graduate of Fairfield Union Highschool and received a bachelors degree from Ohio University where he received his Engineering degree. He was a member of Rushcreek Presbyterian Church in Rushville, OH. Bill served in the United States Air Force as a C-130 pilot. Bill served in many organizations including; Grange, 4-H and the Masonic Order. He had a true love of nature and spent time learning more about the world around us. His biggest contribution in his life was the impact he had on family and friends with his love of life personality.
Survivors include his son, James "Jimm" Ginnery (Valerie); grandchildren, Mason Ginnery, Liam Ginnery, and Reegan Ginnery; as well as sister, Penny Ginnery; and brother-in-laws, Larry Jacobs and Keith Dennis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann Ginnery; son, William K. Ginnery, III; and sister, Nancy Jacobs.
The funeral service for Mr. Ginnery will be held at 11 o'clock, Saturday, April 12th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, with Pastor David Spears officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10 o'clock.
