William Thomas Hindle, 64, of Columbia, died Monday, January 19, 2015. Born September 14, 1950, in New Cumberland, PA, he was a son of the late Thomas Earl Hindle, Sr. and Bonnie Louise Casto Hindle. William retired from the Richland Co. Sherriff's Office as a deputy, and was a member of Boy Scouts of America, Troop 0287 in Columbia. He was also a member of Lugoff Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Naomi Privett Hindle; daughters, Kelly Rowe of Columbia, Sherri (Scott) Ross of Florida; step-daughters, Debbie Duke of Pelion, Beverly (Mike) Shuler; step-sons, Michael Shockley, Wayne (Bonnie) Shockley, all of Gaston, SC; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas (Susie) Hindle, Jr. of Elgin, SC, James Hindle and Michael David Hindle both of Columbia; sister, Karen Lee Wenger of Columbia; and very good friend, Michael Douglas of Cassatt, SC.
A memorial service for Mr. Hindle will be held 3 o'clock, Thursday, January 22nd, At the Lugoff Church of God, with The Rev. Timothy B. Shirley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 2 o'clock.
