William "Bill" Wilson Kirchman, Jr, 75, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Born on May 11, 1947, in Fort Hood, Texas, he was the son of the late William Kirchman, Sr. and Mary Robinson Kirchman. Bill was the loving husband of his late wife, Joyce Kirchman.

Bill was a proud Army veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. As an avid Gamecock fan, you could find him spending his days on the porch with a cigar, listening to South Carolina football or baseball on his beloved radio. His love for sports began when he played high school football and later became a high school football referee. In his spare time, you could regularly catch Bill enjoying a round of golf.

Bill will always be remembered by his sense of humor and ability to tell a story. He loved nothing more than spending time with his beautiful family, whom he loved and cherished.
Bill is survived by his children Kara Kelly Boone (Daniel), Melissa Joy Crider (Daniel); granddaughter, Brianna Hinson; siblings, Kay Dallman (Howard), Karen Humphrey (John), Jim Kirchman (Kelly); mother of children, Sarah Kirchman; and many loving nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joyce Kirchman.

The graveside service will held at 2 o'clock on May 15, 2022, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
