Obituary
William Dale Menting, 55, of Fair Play, SC, died May 29, 2017 at WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. Born January 24, 1962 in Inverness, Florida, he was the son of the late Edwin H. Menting and Mary Anglin Menting.
Dale was a 1980 graduate of Winter Park High School in Florida. He was a member of the United States Navy from 1981 to 1985 and a corrections officer for the state of South Carolina for many years. He was an accomplished marksman and enjoyed horseback riding and the peacefulness of nature.
Dale is survived by his beloved sister, Debra G. Menting of Fair Play, SC and one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Menting of Tifton, GA.
A private family service will be held to celebrate his life.
The family would like to thank the staff of WJB Dorn VA Medical Center for their loving care during his final illness.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
