William "Bill" Jesse Moffett, 86, of Columbia and formerly of Greenville, went to be with the Lord on New Year's Day, January 1, 2020. Born in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, he was a son of Jesse Woodall and Margaret Sanders Moffett. A graduate of Villanova University in Mechanical Engineering, he had a fine career with ITE Circuit Breaker Company and ended with Brown Boveri Electric Company after 32 years.

Bill loved the Lord and believed strongly in the power of prayer. He provided an earthly example of God's faithfulness to his family and demonstrated the importance of a close walk with God. He loved his family, enjoyed woodworking, painting, golf, reading, travel, Villanova basketball, football and his Labrador Retrievers. He was a man of many talents-seen and unseen! He was dearly loved and will be profoundly missed.

Surviving him is the one he loved and adored, his wife of 64 years, Marcia; his daughter, Leslie Adkins (Mike) and their children, Joshua (Candice), Jesse, in heaven, Lauren Meyers (Dustin) and their daughter, Mary; son, Scott Moffett (Cindy) and their children, Michelle Jain (Sunny) and their children, Isla, Eric (Ginna Claire), Mark, Becca Buck (Josh); son, Craig Moffett, in heaven, (Laura), and their children, Matthew (Katie Rose), Megan, Melissa Lenko (Andy); and daughter, Gretchen (Richard) and their children, Abigail, Gus, and Scarlett.

A service will be held 5 o'clock, Saturday, January 4th, at Church of the Apostles, 1520 Bull Street, Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service.
