William David Phifer, 68, of Elgin, died at home, Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Born February 14, 1949 in Charlotte, he was a son of the late William S. and Marie Crawford Phifer. David graduated from Dentsville High School and worked in the family business, Crawford Sprinkler Co. He was a member of North Point Community Church, loved fishing the Outer Banks of North Carolina and spending time in the mountains. David enjoyed bluegrass music and adored his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Caskey Phifer; daughters, Christina Anne Phifer and Marie Jeannette Phifer; grandson, Michael; siblings, Lynn Phifer Turbeville, Robert "Bob" Phifer (Karen), Joe Phifer (Teresa), Jann Phifer Carter and Jeff Phifer (Stacy); and grandmother, Katherine Crawford Moyle; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to North Point Community Church, 532 N Brickyard Road, Columbia, SC 29223.
