In his earlier years, Gregg received the Sportsmanship award in the Coaches Pitch League of the Dentsville Youth Baseball League. He was also very active with the South Carolina Muscular Dystrophy Association, participating in the annual fundraisers, Jerry Lewis telethons and summer camps –all of which he loved.
