Obituary
Wilson "Woody" Henry Lear III, age 65, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017, in Melbourne, Florida.
Woody is survived by his parents, Wilson H. & Janie G. Lear; his brother, David Lear (Laura); and his sisters, Suzanne Keenan, and Jennifer Naumann (Toby). He was an uncle to a niece and several nephews. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Morgan H. Lear, and his grandparents.
Woody was born on September 30, 1952, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He attended Wofford College and graduated from the University of South Carolina. He devoted his business career to property management. He lived much of his life in Florida and eventually made his home in West Palm Beach, with his loving companion, Kay Tonini, and his beloved Great Dane, Homer.
A celebration gathering will be held in West Palm Beach. A private, family graveside service will be held Saturday, December 9th at Northeast Presbyterian Church with Dr. George D. Crow, III officiating. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
Woody volunteered a lot of his time to dog rescue. Donations & Memorials can be made to Gentle Giants GDR or to OZR Great Dane Rescue.
