Mr. Woodrow Allen Medlin, 68, of Elgin, died Saturday, November 16, 2013. Born December 31, 1944, in Columbia, he was a son of the late Woodrow Thomas Medlin and Cora Bell Hammond Medlin.

A Shriner of the Jamil Temple, he had been a member of the Kershaw County Mounted Patrol for ten years.

Survivors include sons, Allen Medlin, Ernie (Pam) Medlin; his sisters, Frances Summerton, Dale (John) Brazell; brothers, James Hammond, Thomas (JoAnn) Medlin; grandchildren, Hannah and Cliff Medlin; his favorite aunt, Jane Hammond; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mr. Medlin will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, November 19th, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, with The Rev. Greg Sweet officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 5 until 7 o'clock. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Midlands, 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC, 29209.
