Zita Del Carmen Molinary, 76, of Columbia, died Sunday, June 14, 2015. Born April 29, 1939 in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Isidro Morales Reverol and Maria Eloiza Maritnez Jimenez. Zita was married 50 years to Roberto Luis Molinary.
Zita was known for her big heart and never having met a stranger. She was an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and walking her dog, but her greatest talent was being a loving grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Roberto Luis Molinary; her son, Roberto Luis Molinary, Jr.; her daughters, Sonia (Scott) McCutcheon, Rosie Molinary (Michael) Kessler; grandchildren, Gabriel and Gracie McCutcheon, Abram Kessler; brothers, José, Luis, Rufino, Juan Isidro and Jesús Morales; sister, María Morales; as well as countless nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Zita was preceded in death by three siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Noon, Thursday, June 18th, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Rd, Columbia, with The Rev. Fr. C. Alexander "Sandy" McDonald officiating. Final Commendation and Farewell Prayers will be said at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 o'clock, Wednesday evening, follow by a visitation until 8:00 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Rd, Columbia.
